Gifts for Kids is a program that began as a thought in Vance Bartley’s mind, a former 3-Striker. He simply wanted gifts to be in the hands of kids who have a parent or guardian incarcerated who may not be available to provide gifts to their children. He wanted the kids to have a festive day to spend with their family and others as well. In support of Vance’s ideas, Justice Works! sponsored this needed program in the Winter of 2008 for the first time and continues to do so each year.

There have been many different activities for families to enjoy. While activities may change from year-to-year, there is always a great selection of activities for kids of all ages to experience. Some activities that we have provided have been: Photo Shoot, Face Painting, Art Shop, Card Making, Animals Galore, Book Share, Build-a-Boat, Mini-Carnival, Open Mic, Live Performers, Open Play Area, Music, Balloons, Refreshments, Justice Works! Play, Community Mural, and much, much more!

*At this time, we are only able to provide an event in the King County area. However, children from outlying counties are encouraged to participate.
